Bernard M. AlthoffBernard M. Althoff is a partner of Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP and head of the firm's Public and Project Finance Department. Mr. Althoff specializes in public and project finance and represents municipal issuers, underwriters, trustees, banks (as lenders and letter of credit issuers) and borrowers. He also has done considerable work in various aspects of taxable municipal obligations. He has rendered legal services to various clients in over 300 tax exempt bond issues and related matters, including derivatives. He has also been active in restructuring project finance transactions, both within and without Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Althoff is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of New York and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and The National Association of Bond Lawyers. Born in Waverly, Minnesota, Mr. Althoff earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from St. John's University, Minnesota, and his law degree (J.D.) from Harvard University.
