James Doty

Experience:

James Doty is an associate at Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP.

Mr. Doty concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property law, and media law.  He has particular experience representing major corporations in securities fraud, ERISA, and shareholder derivative suits. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Doty was an associate in the litigation department at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.  Mr. Doty also clerked for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. 

Mr. Doty is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Education:

Mr. Doty earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University and received his law degree (J.D.) cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Harvard Journal on Legislation.
