Christopher R. Belmonte

Experience:

Christopher R. Belmonte is a partner of Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP. 

Mr. Belmonte concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and creditors’ rights.  He regularly represents financial institutions and major corporations in matters regarding lender liability defense, inter-creditor disputes, construction disputes, commercial mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcy.  He also has represented creditors serving on official committees in major cases nationwide.

Mr. Belmonte is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Education:

Mr. Belmonte earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from the City University of New York Queens College and his law degree (J.D.) from St. John’s University, where he served as Managing Editor of the St. John’s Law Review.
