Kathleen M. Citera is a Partner of Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP.

Ms. Citera specializes in the areas of taxation and trusts and estates.  She represents individuals in a wide range of matters including income, gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax matters, and the drafting of wills and trust agreements, including charitable split-interest trusts, qualified personal residence trusts and insurance trusts.  She is experienced in planning issues associated with closely-held business interests, retirement plan assets and other investments, including analysis of valuation issues and structuring asset transfers. She has assisted clients in the creation of private foundations and representation of private foundations as well as representing both corporate and individual fiduciaries in connection with the administration of estates and trusts.

Admitted to practice before the New York and Florida bars, Ms. Citera is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Sections on Trusts and Estates Law and Tax Law and the Florida Bar Association’s Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law. 

Education:

Born in Queens, New York, Ms. Citera earned her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from the University of Florida and her law degree (J.D.) from the University of Virginia.  She also received a master of laws degree (LL.M.) in taxation from New York University.
