Steven B. Katz




Steven B. Katz is an associate at Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP.

Mr. Katz¹s practice is concentrated in tax and corporate law matters. He has broad experience in federal and state tax planning, including the taxation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, tax-exempt organizations, hedge funds, closely-held businesses, and individuals. His practice also focuses on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy taxation, employee benefits, executive compensation, and international taxation.

In addition to his tax practice, Mr. Katz has experience in various corporate, partnership, and limited liability company matters and participates in the firm¹s hedge fund practice.

Mr. Katz is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut and is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Katz has published several articles pertaining to inbound and domestic mergers and acquisitions, tax issues affecting closely-held corporations, family limited partnerships and the IRS Market Segment Specialization Audit Program.

Mr. Katz is an elected member of the Representative Town Meeting for the Town of Greenwich, CT, where he also serves on its Budget Overview Committee.

Mr. Katz received his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Brandeis University, an M.B.A. degree in finance and his law degree (J.D.) from Fordham University, and a master of laws degree in taxation (LL.M) from New York University.
