James F. Rittinger

James F. Rittinger is a partner of Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP.

Mr. Rittinger is a litigator who has tried and handled appeals in leading cases in the areas of defamation, trademark law, copyright, the rights of privacy and publicity, advertising, the music industry, and media contracts. He represents publishers, advertising agencies, and broadcasters in a variety of negotiations and litigated proceedings.

Mr. Rittinger is admitted to practice in New York, and before the United States Supreme Court, numerous Federal District Courts and Courts of Appeals throughout the United States. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He also served as Justice for the Village of Briarcliff Manor, New York from 1983 through 1994.

Mr. Rittinger earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from St. Bonaventure University and his law degree(J.D.) from the University of Notre Dame, where he was an editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
